McGrath is a poet, novelist, essayist, children’s author, playwright and occasional radio broadcaster. She has won numerous literary awards, including the Henry Fuerstenberg Poetry Prize and the Geldert Medal.
McGrath lives in Goose Bay, Labrador, with her husband.
