Andreae Callanan

Canadian writer Andreae Callanan was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Her poems and essays have appeared in the Newfoundland Quarterly, Maisonneuve and The New Quarterly, and on CBC Radio. She has received a number of Newfoundland and Labrador Arts and Letters awards, and McGill University’s Lionel Shapiro Award for Creative Writing. Her poetry manuscript sparrows, sparks was short-listed for the Fresh Fish Award.

Callanan lives in an enchanted cottage in St. John’s with husband and fellow author Mark Callanan and their three youngsters.
