John  Joy

Since 2001 John Joy has served as Honorary Consul for Iceland in Newfoundland and Labrador. On August 1, 2006 he began new duties as a Provincial Court Judge in Labrador. John, an admiralty and aboriginal law lawyer, has maintained literary and musical pursuits throughout his career, and when living on the Avalon was often seen playing his concertina in Auntie Crae's Specialty Food Shop.
