Frank Holden grew up around St.John's, Newfoundland, where he still lives. A singer and musician, actor and playwright, he has written widely for stage and radio.
Holden's narration of Captain Robert Bartlett’s The Last Voyage of the Karluk was hailed by Publishers Weekly as “a masterful performance.” His performance as Carm Denny in John Steffler's The Grey Islands was tagged by poet Don McKay (in a letter to Canada’s prime minister) as “not to be missed.” His narration of Vikings of the Ice was instrumental in garnering it an Audie nomination.
